SALE INFORMATION

In our Saturday, April 2nd auction, beginning at 11am, we are pleased to be offering property from the Collection of Judith Hollander, along with selected additions; followed by property from the Collection of Alan Wanzenberg.

Judith Hollander purchased an American Empire sofa for her New York apartment in the 1970’s. From that point on, her curiosity evolved and a collection was formed.

This collection of American 19th century furniture includes pieces by Joseph Barry, Haines/Connelly, Anthony Quervelle, and Herter Brothers in styles ranging from Sheraton, Heppelwhite, and Classical to Gothic Revival and Aesthetic Movement, as well as a group of furniture by the Danish designer Kaare Klint. There is an African collection representing items of Ogboni, Benin, Yoruba and Dan origins. Decorative arts include Minton porcelain, Finnish glass and Tiffany flatware.
