The rectangular molded hinged lid over conforming well with till, above two drawers flanked by molded panels, the front painted with two shaped panels, inscribed "Elisabeth Gackli 1798," on ogee-bracket feet; 28 1/2 x 51 3/4 x 23 1/2 in. Note: A family with the surname of Caquelin settled in Pennsylvania in the early 18th century and spread to numerous counties including Berks, Lancaster, Franklin, Cumberland and Lebanon. Later generations and different branches of the family spelled the name variously as Cockley, Gockley, Cocklin, Gackley and Gackli.
