giltwood frame. John W. Draper, born May 5, 1811, England,
moved to Virginia in 1832. He was educated in London as a
chemist and did important research in photochemistry; he was
a founder of NYU Medical School and an avid photographer,
one of the first to photograph the moon. Provenance: Property
