One of a pair donated to the Brooklyn Museum by J. D. Rockefeller III in 1953 as part of the original furnishings from the Worsham/Rockefeller residence on W. 55th Street, New York City. The mate remains in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum.

The dipped top rail with scroll ends and ribbon-bound oak leaf garland and beading, on guilloche-carved uprights, the seat with gadroon rail on reeded legs and shaped feet; 38 x 23 in. Note: Property sold to benefit the Brooklyn Museum.
