Worked with church graveyard on the banks of a river, centered by a widow and two children at a tomb, "Sacred to the memory of Mr. Robert Ellis who departed this life on the 6th of January 1807 in the 60th year of his age," giltwood frame, with paper label on reverse; 14 1/2 x 20 1/2 in.  Note: Upon further examination it appears that behind the paper backing there are traces of the Albany Argus, dated Tuesday June 8th, 1819, this was apparently used as the original backing.
