Painted and gilded maple, glass, brass and silk velvet, the back of the case stamped HERTER BRO'S and 738; the shaped back panel decorated with scrolling leafy vines, centering a glazed compartment, over rectangular top with denticulated cornice above conforming case with upper tier of glazed cupboard doors enclosing shelf, over lower tier of two glazed cupboard doors centered by two scroll-decorated paneled cupboard doors enclosing shelf, flanked on either side by open compartment with asymmetrical arrangement of shelves over paneled drawer, surmounted by arches rising from fluted pilasters terminating in acanthus leaves, the spandrels suspending ribbon-tied festoons, the apron applied with similar festoons, on square tapering legs terminating in brass cuffs; 65 1/2 x 72 1/4 x 14 3/4.
