New York, 1887. First edition, octavo, bound in 3/4 green morocco with 4 gilt flies. Housed in a 1/2 morocco slipcase. Special copy illustrated by Holberton with 8 watercolors, 2 ink drawings, a proof engraving and smaller watercolor drawings. Also includes a cyanotype frontis and a title page decorated with watercolors. Only 50 copies of the book were produced in total.

Lot #360: HOLBERTON, WAKEMAN: "STANDARD TROUT FLIES PAINTED BY W. HOLBERTON FROM SPECIMENS"
N.P., 1882. Large octavo, bound in 3/4 red morocco with 5 gilt flies on the spine. A made up book with 15 pages of flies (total of 64 flies). Each plate inset on handmade paper. An additional plate of a trout hooked on a fly. It appears that the pieces have been cut from a large print done by Holberton to standardize the color, form and names of trout flies. The original print has the trout in the center surrounded by the 64 flies. The flies are named and numbered at the end.
