Hodgkin had his first solo show in London in 1962. In 1984 he represented Britain at the Venice Biennale. In 1985 he won the Turner Prize and he was knighted in 1992.

She is in many collections including the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C. and the Wadsworth Athenaeum in Hartford, C.T. In 1996 she had a retrospective at the Neuberger Museum in Purchase, N.Y.

She proudly considers herself a regional artist and spends time not painting or teaching at PNCA hiking through the Oregon woods for inspiration.
