Lot #42: ATTRIBUTED TO JAMES BODRERO, 11 RISQUÉ WATERCOLORS IN CARTOON FORMAT, IN THE PLAYBOY MAGAZINE STYLE.
Size: 17 3/4 x 12 in. Matted. Bodrero was an artist for Disney Studios and created "Dumbo." These types of cartoons are not in his style and although signed "Bodrero," it may be another artist of the same name. Provenance: From the collection of a French Gentleman.

Lot #43: ISABEL (OSBOURNE) FIELDS (1858-1953): SCRAPBOOK WITH WATERCOLORS
1930's - 40's. Album with 8 small watercolors by Isabel Field. Album also contains photographs; some relating to Robert Louis Stevenson. Isabel Field was the step-daughter of Robert Louis Stevenson and resided on Samoa with him from 1890 - 1895. She was trained by her mother Fannie, and was well known for her small watercolors.

Paris, L'Office D'Edition D'Art, 1925. 1st edition, quarto, 7 volumes. Illustrated with color and black & white plates. Bound in 3/4 parchment over paper covered boards. Each volume lists 96 plates (not collated but assumed complete). Printed on Arches handmade paper including decorative endpapers. An all inclusive look at the contents of the first Art Deco exposition.

Lot #45: CERILLA, EDOARDO. "DIPINTI MURALI DI POMPEI."
Naples, Pasquale D'Amelio, Circa 1886. Large folio. 20 large chromolithographs after the Italian architect Edoardo Cerilla. Bound in 3/4 morocco. Some plates have peripheral staining and the binding is rubbed. A very rare work - no auction records since 1975 or none for sale on the internet. The text is in Italian and French. The plates are of Pompeian wall paintings.

Paris & St. Petersburg, Chez Thierry Freres, 1836. First edition, large folio. 41 lithographed plates and 11 vignettes. Bound in full inlaid red morocco by Wright. Thick gilt decoration around the boards with inlaid decoration. Described and illustrates the construction of Montferrands design for a column to the memory of Alexander I. Some rubs but a magnificient binding and a rare architectural work.
