Gardiner, Maine, privately printed, 1896. First edition, octavo. Bound in blue printed wraps, housed in a cloth clamshell box. Minor wear on the spine, else a fine copy. Inscribed on the title page "J.L. Barlow from E.A. Robinson. 8 December, 1896." Robinson has also added a line to the poem on page 7 and crossed out a word on page 39.

Lot #77: WORDSWORTH, WILLIAM AND COLERIDGE, SAMUEL TAYLOR. "LYRICAL BALLADS, WITH OTHER POEMS."
London, Biggs and Co. (Bristol) for T.N. Longman and O. Rees, 1800. 2nd edition of volume 1 and 1st edition of volume 2. Duodecimo, 2 volumes. Bound in full brown calf, volume 2 board is detached, spine is gone. Volume 1 has the first appearance of Wordsworth's Preface, perhaps the most influential work of literary theory in the English language. Points of issue: (in volume 1) leaf (A)3 line 1 reads "The First Volume," page 137 line 9 reads "been" and line 13 reads "to," page 196 line 14 reads "agency" for "agony." (In volume 2) page 64 line 1 reads "oft I had" and line 6 reads "wild moor," page 83 line 6 has a comma after "last days," page 92 line 2 reads "He," page 129 line 11 reads "when they please" properly spaced. Errata, 3 corrections only (instead of 27).
