London, George Bell, 1891.  Octavo, 2 volumes.  Bound in full brown calf by the Doves Bindery, dated 1894.  Gilt decoration in each corner and heavily gilt spine.  A few rubs, slight sun fade at the top of volume 1.  1 of 150 copies on large paper.

Venice, 1876 (facsimile of 1610 edition). Quarto. Plates of ornately dressed Venetian women; Venetian scenes (Civil & Military). Vellum Venetian-style binding. Recessed panels on each board with thick gold decoration and colored blooms above and below and along the borders. heavily gilt decoration around inner and outer portions. Some enamel chipped.

Argentorati & Parisiis, 1816. 6 volumes (in 12), includes an engraved portrait of Herodotus. Bound in full stained calf, rebacked with gilt spines. There are a few chips at the top of the spine and a few scrapes on the boards.

Glasgow, Priestley, 1814. 5 volumes, octavo. Includes two folding maps. Bound in full gilt morocco. The boards are navy and the spine is burgundy. The lot also includes Sophocles's "Troquediae Septem." Argentorati, 1788. 3 volumes, octavo. Bound in 1/2 gilt burgundy calf.

Doublures of green and brown morocco with numerous gilt rule. Author's autograph edition, 1 of 500 copies on large paper. Original page of manuscript in Irving's hand.

Second editions are "Brides & Bridals" and "Annals of Oxford." Two volumes have cracked hinges, three volumes have minor chips.

Lot #110: MARIANI, ANGELO. "ALBUM MARIANI."
Paris, 1894-1897. 1st edition, quarto, 3 volumes. Illustrated with photomechanical etchings by La Lauze. Bound in 3/4 red inlaid morocco by Meunier. Each spine with a long gilt stem and inlaid leaves and blooms. Marbling on one volume differs from the other two. A compilation of actresses, politicians, artists, novelists, etc. Mariani produced a Cola based wine tonic which all the personalities endorsed.
