Lot #18: (ORIGINAL ART) MILNE, A.A. "THE DORMOUSE AND THE DOCTER" PEN AND INK DRAWINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY BY HARRY ROUNTREE. 17 1/4 X 12 1/2"
Milne wrote the poem for the "Merry Go-Round" children's magazine and it also appeared in the "Joy Street Annual" (2 or 3 ?). Rountree has rendered the poem in calligraphy with two drawings in the left margin and one at the top. Lot includes the two-page printed version. The original art is the first page of the two-page poem.
