Inscribed "To dear Missy her friend M. Curie." "Missy" was Marie M. Meloney who wrote the introduction for the American edition of this book. Meloney was also instrumental in helping Madame Curie to obtain additional uranium for research and assisted her in writing her autobiography to provide Madame Curie with a continuing income. Bound in 3/4 red morocco. Minor rubs on the hinges.
