Comprising six side chairs and an armchair, each with serpentine crest rail over pierced and interlaced splat flanked by flared stiles above trapezoidal slip seat, on straight square legs joined by an H-stretcher; side chairs 40 1/4 x 21 1/2 x 19 1/4 in. Mr. Dunne inherited these chairs from his parents in West Hartford, CT. The needlepoint seats were worked by Dominick's mother, Dorothy Frances (nee Burns).

Together with a caricature of Claus Van Bulow, signed Marc, inscribed on verso "To Nick, a present for the John to remind you of a Claus encounter with the worst kind...Merry Christmas 1985...in love and admiration, Tina"; larger 22 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. The caricature of Claus von Bulow was given to Mr. Dunne by Tina Brown, former editor of Vanity Fair. It hung in the downstairs bathroom of Cloud House in Hadlyme, CT.
