Lot #12: (FINE COPY) TWAIN, MARK, "ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN", NY (WEBSTER), 1885
1st edition, very early issue. First issue points are: (a.) Illustration "Him and Another Man", listed at page 88; (b.) P57, line 11 from bottom "with the was"; (c.) P155, final 5 in page number is slightly elevated; (d.) Leaf 283 is blank; (f.) Frontis has "heliotype Printing Co" imprint and table cloth clearly visible. This is a beautiful copy, only a few light smudges. Green cloth binding is bright with no flaws.

Lot #13: TWAIN, MARK, "ADVENTURES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN", NY (WEBSTER), 1885
1st edition, very early issue. Another copy. This copy meets all the issue points of the previous copy except P155, final 5 is missing from page number. This copy has pages with foxing spots, primarily Ps156-157, 183-191, and 210-231. A few additional light smudges. The spine is slightly faded but overall a very nice copy.

Lot #14: (FIRST BOOK) TWAIN, MARK, "THE CELEBRATED JUMPING FROG OF CALAVERAS COUNTY, AND OTHER SKETCHES", NY (C.H. WEBB), 1867
1st edition, 1st issue of Twain’s first book. Book has the first issue points of the unbroken type on the pages noted in the BAL. The leaf of advertisement before the title page has been torn out. Remnants of the page remain. Green cloth with gilt frog jumping from the left. 4 digs in the cloth on the front board with pieces of cloth missing. Cut on the fabric on lower spine. Some pages with light foxing, overall a sound copy.

1st edition, very early issue. Points of 1st issue include "Eschol Sellers" not "Beriah Sellers", page XVI - final illustration numbered "211" (c) P246 - Line 5 from bottom - no comma after "hallelujah". (D) P280, Line 18 - period after "Dr. Jackson" (E) P352 "Pitiable" (F) P403 - no illustration. Pages 351 and 353 corrected (second state). Generalized foxing and a few corner stains in first few pages. Folding RR map torn with no loss.
