in full contemporary brown calf. Binding is shabby.

1st edition folio. Handcolored engraved allegorical frontis,
H.C. Vignette, H.C. Coat of Arms, and 75 handcolored
plates showing 1500 plants. Some dampstaining, front
and rear endpapers heavily stained; frontis stained in
margin and stuck to preceding endpaper; title stained
at lower right corner; upper left corner of plates 74
and 75 stained; pages 529 to end stained. Most pages
are loose, but 3/4 morocco binding is sound. Very rare
in colored state.
