Letter to Joan Taylor (daughter of Deems Taylor). Deems Taylor was in Hollywood to work on "Fantasia". Disney must have noticed that Taylor missed his daughter and wrote to her and sent her a complete set of Snow White dolls. A wonderful and warm letter with great associations. Envelope included.

Lot #239: CARROLL, LEWIS, "THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, AND WHAT ALICE FOUND THERE", LONDON, 1872
1st edition, 1st issue with "Wade" for "Wabe" on page 21. BINDING IS FULL RED MOROCCO BY SANGORSKI & SUTCLIFFE. Front board has inlay of green morocco with a chess board in the center. The squares in the chess board are inlays of red and black morocco. Crown sits on top of the board. Inlay surrounded by elaborate sprays of gilt leaves and inlaid blooms. Gilt rules and blooms around the boards and on spine. Spine slightly faded and minor rubs at top of front hinge. Original cloth bound in.
