SALE INFORMATION

Stair is offering an exotic selection of Asian, ethnographic and traditional works of art from around the globe as part of a Saturday Exposition Sale on March 24, beginning at 12:30pm. This sale features artworks from the East such as Chinese porcelains and pottery, Japanese prints and scrolls, as well as Southeast Asian carvings. We meet West with traditional Louis XVI, Regency and Edwardian furnishings, bucolic paintings of landscapes and shepherds with accompanying silver and porcelain table wares. A group of unusual ethnographic objects compliments the theme with African carvings, Pre-Columbian Style zoomorphic figures and pottery vessels. There is sure to be a category appealing to every collector.

Additional highlights in the March 24 sale include The World of Jean Stein, a noted connoisseur of art as well as a writer, editor and oral historian; Property from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA; and artworks from Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art, TN.   

We accept online, phone and absentee bidding for this sale. All bidding must be arranged by 12pm EDT, Friday, March 23.
