On Saturday, October 28th and Sunday, October 29th we will offer our Fine English, Continental and American Fine Art, Furniture, Porcelain, Silver, Asian and Jewelry, including Property from the Collection of Princess Frederika Ann Guirey, Nassau; Princess Guirey’s father, Sir Frederick Sigrist, built the famous Sigrist House in Nassau in 1936. Also included one the auction will be a fine selection of property from The Estate of Dr. Heinrich Medicus, Troy, New York, which includes Medieval sculpture and stained glass, Continental baroque bronzes and a group of prints by Whistler, Redon and Toulouse-Lautrec. Property from the Estate of Anne Lichtblau, New York, features a rare French Art Deco box, signed Mauboussin, and a woven gold Van Cleef style box. Other highlights in the sale include two large Japanese bronze eagles on rockwork bases, a fine Flemish baroque mirror and a pair of early French limestone lion sculptures from a Private East Hampton, New York Collector. Highlights in the Fine Art section include a fine group of 4 Old Master drawings, Nineteenth Century European Paintings and a selection of American paintings including works by Henry Ary, Edward Potthast, Augustus Rockwell and Arthur B. Davies. Also included is a large collection of Fine and Estate jewelry.
All purchases are subject to a 22% buyer’s premium discounted to 20% for cash or check.
