The Fine Sale on November 9 at 10 am
Our November Fine sale brings together an exemplary group of British, European and American fine and decorative arts that spans centuries of stylistic and aesthetic movements across many collecting categories. Highlights include a selection of Fine Persian carpets from Sultanabad, Mahal, Bakshaish and Heriz, as well as French and Continental furniture, including examples of Louis XV, XVI, and Empire, Biedermeier, Austrian and Italian furniture. Decorative Arts highlights include a selection of ormolu-mounted porcelains, candelabras and clocks, complemented by Continental carved marble busts and an assortment of bronzes including a fine example of Rape of the Sabine. Also included is a fine selection of Meissen figures and an important group of Chinese porcelain and lacquer. Fine art highlights include European landscape views, English equestrian portraits and hunt scenes, and Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century works on paper by Horace Vernet, Jean Duplessis Bertaux, and Andreas Schelfhout.
