The sale features a collection of furnishings from an interior designed by Roger Jones of Colefax & Fowler which includes a selection of finely curated furniture, paintings, decorations and rugs. Highlights from this collection include elegant and rustic country English furniture, a large Northern European School exotic bird painting, and a charming pair of floral watercolors in French mats and gilt frames. Beautifully upholstered seat furniture in a variety of fabrics with typical Colefax & Fowler attention to detail and comfort are also included. Another interior highlighted in the sale was designed by the New York firm Parish-Hadley in the mid-1970s for the Rockefeller family. Highlights include faux-painted low tables, chintz-upholstered furniture, a Regency style bookcase and an unusual pair of English chinoiserie decorated pedestals.
