Property from the Collection of Tom Levine

Tom Levine collected art and objects with an artist’s eye to detail, palette and craft. His collection reflects the time he spent creating his own art as well as decades spent in the company of other artists with whom he exchanged works, or from whom he bought directly. The Collection of Tom Levine is defined by these relationships, and by Levine’s own aesthetic sensibility and understanding of form and color. Highlights in the collection include works by many of the artists he knew and admired, including Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Terry Winters and Sol Lewitt, and are complemented by sculptural objects in the form of ceramics by Karen Karnes and George Ohr, and African masks.
