THIS COLLECTION WAS ASSEMBLED OVER A PERIOD OF 25 YEARS BY A EUROPEAN FINANCIER
with a global reach. He focused partially on bank buildings and their interiors, including the Bank of New Zealand, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and the Banque de L'Indo-Chine to name a few. He concentrated on the best architectural drawings of the late 18th, 19th and up to the mid 20th Century, including predominately European and American locations. The collection represents building facades, elevations, cross sections, interiors, street scenes and details. There is a charming drawing of the Snowdon Mountain Refreshment Stand to an uber-slick mid-century bank interior a la the Mad Men era.

PROPERTY FROM A CONNECTICUT HOME DESIGNED BY MARK HAMPTON
This sale included a wide selection of English furniture from the Georgian through the Edwardian periods. It will include Georgian tilt top tables and end tables; an Edwardian painted knife box on stand; and a few late Victorian bamboo and lacquer bookcases, cabinets and a canterbury. Another piece of note is a whimsical Victorian cast-iron hall stand in the ‘Adams’ style. It will also feature a nice pair of Regency style black painted armchairs and an array of chintz upholstered sofas and armchairs.
The collector had a fascination with English, Continental and Chinese Export porcelain. There are a host of different types of Staffordshire animal figurines and spill vases; along with some early Wedgwood creamware; and a Derby part dessert service to name a few. In order to adorn the English mahogany furniture there are quite a few Chinese Export cream jugs, tea pots, coffee pots along with saucers and bowls.
This sale also included some more decorative pieces which were typical of Mr. Hampton’s decorating style in the late 80’s, such as colorful needle point carpets and pillows; canary yellow toleware table articles; and Chinese and Victorian black lacquer tray tables.
