Thank you to all of our clients and consignors for helping us have another successful year!
Throughout the year we have had many highlights, one such highlight was in one of our offerings of Asian antiquities, decorations and furniture. In our October 25-26th auction we offered Lot 330: Rare Pair of Chinese Doucai Porcelain Candlesticks which sold for $109,250.
Our May 17-18th auction was a huge success with many highlights, including a painting attributed to Sanford Gifford, Lot 562: Misty Sunrise on Lake George, which sold for $120,750. In our June 28th auction, a fine Late Louis XVI Ormolu and Brass-Mounted Mahogany Table À Écrire was offered as Lot 343 resulting in a realized price of $35,650.
Also in the arena of art, we offered a work on paper by Paul Cadmus, Lot 33 on September 27th, Aviator (Kite Runner, Fire Island) for a realized price of $26,450; and in the same sale, a photograph Lot 113: Alfred Steiglitz: The Steerage for a realized price of $20,700. A sculpture, Greco-Roman Carved Marble Torso, Lot 293 in our October 25-26th auction, sold for $43,125.
Every sale contains an abundance of decorations. In our September 5th auction we offered Lot 5: W.A.S. Benson English Arts & Crafts Copper and Brass Three-Light Chandelier for a realized price of $26,450; and recently in our December 6th auction, we offered a piece of Georg Jensen silver, Lot 248: Silver Flattened Ovoid Box and Cover, for a realized price of $28,750. Last, but not least, in our recent December 6th Modern & Contemporary auction we offered Lot 29: Morgan Russell: Synchrony (Number 4) with a realized price of $54,050.
