LONG ON STYLE… THE COLLECTION OF WILLIAM FRAWLEY, NEW YORK, NY

William has been obsessed with fashion from a very early age. The precocious enthusiast was repeatedly admonished for spending too much time drawing, as confirmed by his grade school report cards. He also tested his mother’s patience by re-purposing her pink elbow-length kidskin gloves, as well as the fur lining in one of her coats to dress his sister’s dolls in the latest fashions.

Parsons School of Design was a perfect setting for William to explore and express his interests in drawing and design. While attending school, William was offered a job at Perry Ellis where he apprenticed in many disciplines of fashion design. His diverse training and background there gave him the insight and skills to handle varied and specialized projects throughout his career.

Working for a roster of who’s who in the fashion industry including Perry Ellis, Donna Karan, Isaac Mizrahi, Marc Jacobs and Oscar de la Renta has allowed him the opportunity to practice his expertise while continuing to learn something new everyday in practice. Knowledge is power was his mantra to his students at Parsons.

William is still obsessed with fashion and spends too much time drawing.
