London, 1919 & 1920. 4TO. Both first trade editions. Both are fine copies in dust jackets. Dust jacket for "Sleeping Beauty" has very minor closed tears; dust jacket for "Cinderella" has large chip on upper front panel and chips on upper and lower spine. Front endpaper chipped. Lot includes a trade edition of "Rip Van Winkle" (no dust jacket).

Circa 1880. 8 1/4 x 9 1/2 in. (complete puzzle). Each block with an illustration on paper glued to block. Some soiling and chipping. Housed in a wooden box with a color illustration of the completed puzzle on the cover.

Lot #105: ANTOINE, FRANZ DE PAULA. (PEACHES) "ABBILDUNG VON PFIRSCH GOTTUNGEN NOCH DER NATUR."
Vienna, 1821. First edition, folio. Engraved frontis and title page. 42 (of 50) hand-colored plates of peaches. Plates depict the blossom, the full fruit and half of the fruit with the stone. Binding - later morocco; large pieces missing. Plate #1 is lightly soiled with a stain spot. Plates 41 and 44 are loose with margin chips. Missing plates 42, 43 and 45 - 50. An extremely rare depiction of peaches.

Albany, 1905. First edition, 8VO, 2 volumes. Color plates of apples grown in New York state. Green gilt decorated cloth. Slight spine fade - else fine. Lot also includes: Hedrick, U.P. "Cherries of New York." Albany, 1915. Color plate of cherries and one other.

Lot #107: HOUGH, ROMEYN BECK. "THE AMERICAN WOODS, EXHIBITED BY ACTUAL SPECIMENS AND WITH COPIUS EXPLANATORY TEXT."
Lowville, New York, 1894 - 1928. 14 volumes, 8VO. Text volumes in original wraps. Green cloth covers in slipcases hold the text and loose cards. 1063 samples of wood, each wafer-thin transverse, radial and tangential sections illustrating 355 species; window mounted on 355 cards (some cracks and warping to a few samples) (there are mounts 7A, 7B, 26A and 62A - in addition there are 2 mounts #25 - showing different species). 2 transverse sections - cards 336 and 344 - did not have a transverse section issued. First edition of volumes 5 - 8 and 11 - 14. Second edition of vols. 3, 4 , 9 and 10. Third edition of volumes 1 and 2. Complete sets are very rare. This is a fine bright set.
