Slight spine fade; piece of lower spine cloth (1 1/4 in.) seperated and reglued with no loss. Issue points: (1) first state - "Him and another man" listed at page 88. (2) First state page 57 "with the Was." (3) Third state page 155, final 5 present. (4) Third state, engraving on page 283 redone. (5) First state, portrait frontis, heliotype imprint and cloth visible. (6) First state page 143, "I" missing in"Col," first line and line 7, "b" is badly broken.
