2017, Stair Galleries’ 16th year, brought countless exciting and fascinating opportunities. I saw so many interesting things this year: the collection of the late Princess “Bo” Guirey in her Bahama’s home; the late Ambassador Verner Reed’s collection representing his enduring taste; the Paul F. Walter collection, Sag Harbor and New York City; the eclectic collection from Camilla and Earl McGrath’s New York City apartment; and the collection of contemporary prints from Ileanna Sonnabend.
Looking back we pulled off twenty-four exhibitions, took 41,195 photographs, offered 9220 lots, added new cast members here behind the scenes, and had more fun than we thought possible. All in all, we just get better and better.
So thank you all so very much for all of your support, and here’s to a great 2018!
