Lot #80: (AQUATINT ROUNDELS/BOX MEDAL) "THE BATTLES OF THE BRITISH ARMY IN PORTUGAL, SPAIN AND FRANCE FROM THE YEAR 1808-14 UNDER THE COMMAND... OF WELLINGTON"
London, Edward Orme, 1815. 2 7/8 in. diameter. Box medal containing 12 handcolored aquatint roundels, each with a scene from Wellington's millitary campaigns with a narrative on the verso. Roundels are housed in a box medal with a bust of Wellington on the obverse and a figure of Victory sitting under a tree on the reverse. The title page states that the roundels reflect battles up to 1814. A roundel was later issued for the Battle of Waterloo.
